Planning for the last big event...

Have you noticed that we are always planning for the last big event?

I watched while miners and oil companies scrambled to increase capacity when the resources boom was at its peak. The boom busted, as all booms do. They missed it - and they are wondering what to do with the excess assets that they are holding now.

People scramble to sell their shares to protect themselves from another market fall - after the market has already been decimated.

People start looking for work once they have already been laid off, or they start prospecting once their pipeline is already dried up.

Do it now! Get your resume ready now ! Don't need it? great - thats the best time to be looking around!

Call the prospect today, can't deal with her workload right now? No problem, she is probably not going to give you an order today anyway.

Spend at least 20% of your time on marketing, spend at least 50% of your time on the future, and spend as much time as you can out of whats left making sure that tomorrow disasters are going to place you in a better situation than today.
