Consulting Search

I have just finished reading Search by John Battelle and it has inspired me to put some more work into the Google Custom search engine that I started working on for this site about a year ago.

The goal is to build a network of consulting related sites, blogs and news feeds that are indexed and available for all to read in one place. To date we have around 300 sites in here and I am going to spend a lot of time over the next few weeks adding to it, indexing it, and building it up.

The Consulting Pulse Search Engine

However, like all things Google, this works best when others are involved. It is pretty easy, you just put the Google Marker on your Firefox or Explorer bar and then press it when you come across a site that you think should be in the list. You will get a chance to tag it with the same tags that I use on the blog, and then it will be there for everybody to use as part fo their consulting industry searches.

If you want to be involved, or if you want your site to be listed in the search engines index, then please send me an email.

The goal here is to create an information portal that would cover all aspects of the consulting life. This could range from advice and resources on how to make a good presentation, through to books and entrepreneurial themes.

So far we are covering the following topics:

Reviews - Books and Audio Books
Consulting Tech - Online productivity, IT, SaaS, ERP and other technology areas.
Travel - Tips, reviews and destinations.
Presentations - As you would think
Sales - All about selling
Marketing - All the news, views and information about marketing
Cashflow - Savings, venture capital, loans, finance and news items

There are a few more, and we will continue to add them over the next few weeks. So please have a look, let me know if it needs improvement, and I hope you find what you are searching for!
