Avoiding Death by PowerPoint

In keeping with our regular theme of developing your presentation skills, I found this recently on SLideshare.net. Its a fantastic slide set that gives a heap of great tips about how to avoid boring your audience to death and how to make sure that your presentation keeps their attention, as well as facilitating the knowledge transfer process.

I thought this was great. Some of his points he makes include:

  • One point per slide
  • Less text more graphics
  • Visual thinking
  • Your audience reads faster than you can speak, so in essence your text-filled slides are useless

And heaps of others. Check it out for yourself.
