Book Review - Endless Referrals by Bob Burg

Anybody who has had even limited success in the field of managerial consulting realizes that above all else, consulting is about people, relationships and trust. Easy thing to talk aboiut, substantially harder to try to put into practice.

Until I read Bob Burgs book, Endless Referrals, most of what I had learned about networking and converting contacts into clients had come from watching others. I was significantly unimpressed by the books out there on the subject.

This book is, by far, the best book I have read on this subject. In an era overflowing with advice and advisors, it was great to read a book that is dripping with the authors practical experience and shows that he has "walked the walk".
His well thought out book addresses what is one of the primary areas of concern for all consultancies big or small; acquiring new clients. Beyond all else, his book is about building relationships.
I have gained a lot of value from this small investment, and I can heartily recommend it for anybody who is interested in consulting as a profession.
